Coping and Intervention Strategies in Cyberbullying – A systematic review
Abstract
In recent years, the world has experienced rapid and drastic changes due to the technological advances that occur almost every day. The new technologies have influenced upon the social interactions, bringing about positive and negative consequences. Bullying, for instance, which was a behavior that usually happened in face-to-face relations, is now extended to the virtual domain, in which it is known as Cyberbullying. This systematic review is based on the PRISMA protocol to identify which interventions are used and described against Cyberbullying. Only 14 surveys were found according to the stablished criteria in the PubMed and BVS databases. Among the aforementioned, 10 different intervention strategies/instruments were found and divided into three groups, according to the intervention and the persons involved in it. Thus, We observe the need for more scientific research addressing Cyberbullying.
